Steve and Alex are characters with personality who have an adventurous spirit and the only thing they are looking for is the overworld, however they feel confused after killing Foxy with an eye of Ender.

- Alex is the only one who talks more than Steve.
- The voice actors who provided their voice are the same ones from Blue Monkey's web series, Alex & Steve. This was changed in SQUID GAME vs. Friday Night Funkin', Among Us, FNAF, Baldi, and Bendy! likely due to legal issues with Blue Monkey.
- In the new short dedicated to Squid Game, Micah Preciado voiced Steve.
- Alex and Steve's model is based on the series of Alex & Steve created by Blue Monkey also but dirtier. However, Alex was remodeled in Angry Alex having the same skin textures as the version of Alex in Alex & Steve.
- In the Rainbow Friends story shorts, Steve is a victim of Red's experiments.
